Why Give Now?
The Center for Patient Partnerships is on the front lines of care. You help keep us that way.
For 20 years we have helped people in the direst of circumstances reclaim control, dignity, and in some cases a chance at life. With your support, we lead by example, teaching future healthcare professionals how to fight for their patients.
With your support, we prepare emerging leaders to take on complexity. Our approach- in a classroom or online- grounds students in reflection, listening, and empathy that strengthens one of the key elements found in successful 20th-century leaders: self-awareness.
Together with clients and donors, we champion person-centered change on a systemic level.
And now more than ever, during COVID-19, we count on your partnership. Rocked by the current pandemic, our clients report shifts in their immediate and anticipated needs. As the current crisis makes these systems even more complex, our clients are facing canceled or delayed clinical trials for cancer treatment; dwindling supplies to meet basic needs, including food, rent and utility bills, and a confusing unemployment system.
Your support allows us to continue this crucial work.
Thank you from all of us at CPP.

WAYS TO GIVE:
At the Center for Patient Partnerships, keeping our doors open is a high-stakes project. For many of our clients, our counsel gives much-needed hope in the face of severe illness. Your monthly donation generates reliable income we use to help patients of all backgrounds, free of charge. It’s the easiest way to give and ensure ongoing support for the Center, and you can opt-out at any time.
Your annual support is vital to sustaining the Center’s core mission. Your gift helps us create innovative curricula and share our passion for advocacy, resulting in a transformative experience for our students and clients. Gifts to annual funds provide flexible resources to support Center priorities, including attracting and retaining talented faculty and providing scholarships to help the Center’s educational programs remain affordable.
At the leadership level of giving, you make a commitment to the Center for Patient Partnerships—and we make a commitment to you. As a Leadership supporter, you will receive exclusive communication from our Founding Director Meg Gaines, advance notice of publications and Center news, invitations to special events, and recognition in our annual report and on our website. We’re happy to work with you individually to invest your gift in the area of our mission that most excites you. When you make a leadership gift to the Center, you are also recognized by the University of Wisconsin-Madison in its giving societies. Gifts that qualify for naming opportunities are a lasting way to impact our clients, students and faculty. A named gift can serve as a tribute to a loved one, or it can demonstrate your own investment in the future of health care. Naming opportunities are available for endowed scholarships, endowed chairs, and other unrestricted endowments. There is also an opportunity available to name the Center itself after you, your family or loved one. For more information, please begin the conversation by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 608-265-6267.
Memorial or Honor Giving
Honor gifts are an opportunity to celebrate a special occasion—a birthday, anniversary, wedding or a friend’s courage in the face of life-threatening illness. A memorial gift helps honor a loved one’s memory by supporting important, practical work. The perfect tribute to a life well lived. When a memorial or honor gift is received, the Center will send a letter to the person or family indicated (if a mailing or email address is provided) notifying them of your thoughtful donation.
Planned giving integrates your charitable gift into your overall financial, tax and estate planning to maximize benefits both to you and to the Center for Patient Partnerships. Through planned giving, you can multiply the effect of your gift. Deferred gifts are those that are made in the present and received by the Center in the future. Some deferred gifts are straightforward, such as a bequest. Others are more complex, providing current tax benefits as well as income for the donor, a beneficiary, or both. You can help ensure the future success of the Center for Patient Partnerships while leaving your legacy through planning your gift today.
